Description

The Vancura decision, the MNA and ULONA are game-changers for notary employers and employees alike.With all the added liability these issues will bring, agency owners and their notary personnel need to be proactive in their training, prepared for the changes the decision and model laws will bring, and educated about the changing requirements.

The Vancura decision and the revised MNA and ULONA have far-reaching implications for notaries and their employers, and it’s only a matter of time before language is adopted and the effects are felt in your state.

Be ready — Join our notarization experts to get the tools you need to implement an effective notary training program!

Join National Notary Association and American Escrow Association experts and get the insight you need to implement effective notary training programs, eliminate risk, and ensure compliant, acceptable closings.

Training closing agents and other notary employees has always been necessary to ensure that closing documents are legal, binding, and accepted for recording. The importance of good notary training programs was highlighted last year when an Illinois appellate court ruled that a notary’s employer was liable for the actions of its notary employee. Now two model notary laws have been introduced into the public domain that, if adopted by the states, will change the way that training needs to be done.

To help you navigate these changes and help your notary employees succeed, this webinar will:

  • Explain the important aspects of the landmark court decision so attendees understand what employee conduct they are liable for;
  • Outline important best practices for notarizing documents in the office;
  • Point out key changes to the National Notary Association’s Model Notary Act and the Uniform Law on Notarial Acts and how, if adopted by the states, these laws will impact the way attendees’ notary employees perform their jobs; and
  • Provide the steps needed to implement an effective notary training programin the office.
