The company was founded to be the unifying, independent voice of these industries and the professionals that support them. We have been headquartered in Richfield, Ohio, since our inception in 1999, and still boast the only full-time, independent newsroom devoted to covering the top title insurance, mortgage, real estate, appraisal and settlement services issues.

What We Do

October Research is the parent company and publisher of five premium market intelligence publications and their respective websites: The Title Report, The Legal Description, Valuation Review, RESPA News and Dodd Frank Update. Our publications feature bi-weekly or monthly distribution, and most are available in both print and electronic PDF format. 

Individually, our publications and their websites release weekly email news updates; produce Q&A-style video interviews; publish in-depth special reports, white papers and tip sheets; offer article reprints; and sponsor social media networking groups.

The company also includes a seminars division, which — in conjunction with our publications — produces educational Webinars, audio seminars and the annual National Settlement Services and Compliance Summit.  The Summit has become the industry’s flagship event, and is held each June in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
