CATIC Zach is VP, Chief of Innovation and Strategy at Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (“CATIC”) and has worked there since 2016. He is a title industry veteran, and prior to joining CATIC, he served as underwriting counsel at several national title insurance companies. In his current role, Zach focuses on what’s next, innovating next-generation title insurance processes, known inside CATIC as “Underwriting 2.0.” His primary function is to keep CATIC prepared for emerging market trends in an increasingly disrupted real estate market. Zach is a past president of the Connecticut Title Association and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Real Property Section. He is involved with the Connecticut Mortgage Banker’s Association’s Young Mortgage Professionals and participates on ALTA’s Digital Process Impact Working Group. He received his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. |

His career has taken him internationally, having lived and worked extensively in Mexico and Brazil as a consultant, real estate broker, and appraiser. Since founding Power of Chain in 2017, John has advised startups and mid-sized enterprises on growth strategies, platform development, and innovation initiatives. His work emphasizes real estate tokenization, NFTs, digital twins, blockchain land registries, and applications in the title insurance industry. He is deeply committed to advancing the technological transformation of real estate through blockchain, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital tools. A recognized thought leader in the global PropTech space, John is a frequent conference speaker and the author of numerous articles examining the intersection of blockchain and real estate, particularly in modernizing legacy processes. John earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida State University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of San Francisco. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and actively contributes to leading organizations in blockchain, real estate, and technology, fostering global networking and strategic partnerships. |
