Jacqueline Brooks Partner Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr Jacqueline Brooks concentrates her practice in business and commercial law. She counsels clients in mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance, private offerings of debt and equity securities, corporate and REIT governance, and shareholder derivative and dispute matters, including shareholder demand responses and special committee issues. Jacqueline has experience representing public companies, privately owned and managed companies, nonprofit organizations and start-up companies and provides general counsel to these organizations regarding corporate matters. Prior to joining Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, Jacqueline participated in Washington University School of Law's D.C. Clinic, through which she was an intern to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee. In this capacity, she drafted legal memoranda to assist Congressman John Conyers, Jr. and the congressman's legislative assistants at Judiciary Committee hearings and briefings. Jacqueline was also an intern to the office of U.S. Sen. Tommy and his team represent over 100 franchisors and multi-unit franchisees in the restaurant and hotel industry, with a focus on small and mid-sized retail, franchise and hospitality companies located across the U.S. Tommy’s expertise lies in corporate structuring arrangements, multi-state and international tax planning, corporate and individual tax mitigation, as well as IRS controversy and representation. Tommy is actively engaged in the retail, franchise and hospitality industry, regularly producing thought leadership articles and serving as an advisor on restaurant industry best practices. Tommy is also an organizing member of Atlanta’s bi-annual Restauranteur Summit. | Jeff Roest, CPA Controller Qualia Jeff is Qualia’s Controller, in that role he leads Qualia’s accounting, payroll and tax functions. Jeff’s previous roles include leading Prosper Marketplace’s technical accounting, SEC reporting, payroll and tax teams and at Ernst & Young where he was a member of their audit practice and served a wide range of clients.
