David Stein is chair of Bricker & Eckler's Banking & Financial Services Practice Group. A veteran in the financial services industry, Stein has spent more than two decades in roles as in-house and outside counsel for national independent lenders and servicers of all sizes. His practice focuses on banking and lending compliance, marketing and sales practices, regulatory examinations and investigations, enforcement actions, fair lending and loan servicing. Stein represents lenders and financial institutions in complex financial services litigation, compliance management, CFPB readiness planning and development of data security strategies.

Stein graduated from The Ohio State University and from Capital University Law School. He serves lenders and servicers throughout the United States and is admitted to practice in Ohio and Florida. He is the author of the forthcoming MBA Compliance Essentials: Internet and Social Media Guidebook and has served on various banking industry committees, including the Mortgage Bankers Associationís Legal Committee, Qualified Mortgage/ATR Task Force and Independent Banking working groups.
