Loretta Salzano founded Franzén and Salzano in 1996 and manages the firm’s state and federal compliance practice. In 2009, Loretta and her law partner, Terry Franzén, launched ComplyShare, a mortgage quality control and compliance company.
Loretta advises banks, mortgage lenders and other settlement service providers on how to increase their business while remaining within the confines of state and federal laws including, but not limited to, the Dodd-Frank Act, TILA, RESPA, ECOA and HMDA. Loretta advises her clients regarding licensure, advertising, marketing, fees, disclosures, reporting, fair lending and other matters related to their products and services. She drafts and negotiates contracts, including, but not limited to, marketing and other service agreements, loan purchase and sale agreements, warehouse line agreements and servicing agreements. Loretta also assists clients in responding to regulatory examinations and actions. She is a frequent speaker on mortgage lending and related issues.
Loretta serves as Legal Counsel to the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia. She is Martindale-Hubbell’s Financial Law Panelist for Ask a Lawyer, and her firm serves as the Georgia editor to Houselaw. Loretta received her bachelor’s degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
