Shabnam Jalakian serves as vice president and chief information security officer for First American Title Insurance Co. A security and technology professional with over 15 years of experience, she has held executive-level positions in several sectors within the financial services industry, including banking, investment management and insurance. Her area of expertise includes cybersecurity, information security, risk management, privacy and compliance. Jalakian graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and holds a master’s degree in Forensic Sciences.

Elizabeth Daniel is the Vice President of Operations for Continental Title Co. Continental Title has 26 offices in Kansas and Missouri.
Daniel has been in the mortgage and title Insurance industries for 20 years. She began her career with a local title insurance agency in 1996 and later worked with a national lender. Daniel came back to her true passion, the title industry in 2006, when the opportunity to work for Continental Title presented itself. Through her extensive experience in both the lending and title industries, Daniel has instilled her leadership skills in a way that helps her team to perform at a high level.
Daniel is a member several state and national associations. She serves on the Kansas Land Title Association’s Education Committee. She is the Co-Chair for the Political Action Committee for the Missouri Land Title Association and is an affiliate member of the American Escrow Association. Daniel is a member of the American Land Title Association serving on several committees. She has been a member of the Best Practices Task Force and currently serves on the ALTA Closing Committee. She is also a member of the Title Industry Political Action Committee serving as the State of Kansas Trustee and the Membership Committee.

Zafar Khan has been in the technology field for more than 15 years, and has strategy and finance experience with Deloitte Consulting and Goldman Sachs. He has also worked to transfer U.S. Department of Energy National Lab technology to the private industry and was selected as one of 15 CEOs to participate in a U.S. Presidential Trade Mission. Khan has invented four U.S. patents, holds a BA degree from Wesleyan University, an International Certificate from The Georgetown University School of Business, and an MBA degree from The Wharton School.
