What can appraisers do to improve their reputations and grow their businesses in 2012?

Appraisers have been under fire lately from lenders, appraisal management companies, Realtors and others who think the appraiser is at the root of many current housing market problems. What has occurred to cause all this mistrust of the appraiser and how can appraisers improve their reputations to regain the trust of their customers?

Valuation Review brought together three appraisal experts to instruct on simple steps the appraiser can take to strengthen their relationships and build a better business that will gain the respect and trust from their clients and provide a better platform for growth.

This Webinar offers the following for appraisers:

  • How to write proper, higher detailed, quality reports to avoid trouble down the road;
  • Information on what is causing underwriter heartburn;
  • Issues with the government sponsored enterprises;
  • Case studies that provide real life examples of ways to improve your work;
  • The appraiser's responsibility in earning the trust of his or her customer;
  • Working with the AMC and how to strengthen that relationship;
  • Compliance and due diligence; and
  • Correlating compensation with the quality of the appraisal.

In addition, Jason Morgan, editor of Valuation Review, discussed these topics with the speakers in an open forum following their presentations. The audience had the opportunity to participate in this discussion by submitting their questions and comments through the Webinar's live chat feature.

This Webinar covered very important material from which all appraisers would greatly benefit. Order your recording today and hear from three highly respected, longtime members of the appraisal community on what you should be doing to better your reputation and grow your business.
