
Chad Montgomery Recorder Box Elder County, Utah Chad Montgomery serves as the Recorder for Box Elder County, Utah, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Weber State University. He is actively involved in the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA), where he serves as Co-Chair of the PRIA GIS Workgroup and contributes to the Cybersecurity Workgroup, helping develop and update PRIA guidance on cybersecurity best practices. Chad plays an active leadership role in the Utah Association of County Recorders, where he serves as Vice President and contributes to the legislative, standards, and cadastral mapping committees. He has completed multiple Certified Public Official levels and holds a Level 6 Senior Instructor certification. He is actively involved with the Utah Association of Counties (UAC), where he serves as Secretary on the UAC Executive Board. He also serves as Vice Chair of Utah’s County Recorder Standards Board and was recognized by his peers as Utah Recorder of the Year in 2016. Drawing on his experience leading recovery efforts following a ransomware attack that affected Box Elder County in 2025, Chad has shared his experience and lessons learned through conferences, local events, and national publications to help strengthen cybersecurity preparedness for public agencies and the property records industry. |

He built SecurePay, the tool that has processed over $5 billion in real estate money movement across the title industry, and has led the development of a broader suite of fraud prevention products - including bank account verification, payoff retrieval and verification, and identity verification. A Knoxville, TN native, Caleb earned his Computer Science degree from Vanderbilt University before spending several years in the tech industry in Washington State. Now based in Austin, TX, he pairs customer-focused application development with a security-first mindset in pursuit of Closinglock's mission: protecting every dollar in the real estate transaction. |

Her career spans more than 20 years in editorial leadership, communications, marketing and brand strategy. Before joining October Research in August 2026, she spent nearly nine years with the American Land Title Association (ALTA), where she led marketing, public relations and brand initiatives for the national trade association and the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation. Her work included leading ALTA’s first comprehensive rebranding initiative in 60 years, which earned a PR News Platinum Award, two PR News Digital Awards and several Telly Awards. Earlier in her career, Hernandez held B2B editorial leadership roles with Gill Ashton Publishing, Questex and Penton Media.
